Signed binary releases for ~alter.

  /manifest.json           release manifest (JSON)
  /manifest.json.sig       detached ed25519 signature over the manifest
  /.well-known/keys.json   signature trust anchors (JSON)
  /v<version>/<arch>/<file>  download a release artefact

Native package repositories:

  /apt/                    Debian, Ubuntu and derivatives
  /rpm/                    Fedora, RHEL, openSUSE
  /alpine/                 Alpine Linux
  /nix/                    Nix and NixOS

The manifest names the current stable version and its sha256.
Every other channel carries a copy of the artefact it points at.
